ARE UI Inspector - Privacy Policy

Overview

ARE UI Inspector ("the App") is a developer tool that inspects UI elements of Android applications using Android's Accessibility Service. This privacy policy explains how the App handles data.

Data Collection

ARE UI Inspector does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

• No user accounts or registration required
• No analytics or telemetry
• No crash reporting services
• No advertising SDKs
• No network requests to external servers

Accessibility Service Usage

The App uses Android's Accessibility Service to read the UI hierarchy of the currently active application. This is the core functionality of the App.

The Accessibility Service:

• Reads element properties (text, bounds, class names, resource IDs) of the foreground app for inspection purposes
• Does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers
• Does not interact with your apps unless you explicitly request an action (e.g., tap, set text)
• Does not monitor or record user activity in the background
• Can be disabled at any time in Settings → Accessibility

Data Storage

All inspection data remains on your device. When you export a UI hierarchy (XML or JSON), the file is saved locally or shared via Android's share intent — the App does not upload it anywhere.

Third-Party Services

ARE UI Inspector does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs that collect user data.

Children's Privacy

ARE UI Inspector is a professional developer tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
